Horse blanket for Betsy

Seriously, I never thought I'd EVER be the type of person to put clothes on my dog.  Sure I did it when I was a kid, but that was a displaced need to dress up myself.  Well, this winter it happened.  My dog now wears clothes every day.

We live in Minnesota and she's cold and old. There's my justification.
  Here's the quick how-to make a dog horse blanket:

Cut two pieces of fabric roughly shaped like this:

Add the two side belt flaps.  Attach velcro to these, they'll gird up under your pug's saggy tummy.

Next add velcro to neck pieces.

Then, trim the whole thing out with self-made bias tape in accenting color. Maybe add a flower if you're feeling daring.

Finally, put on dog and start rehearsing your excuses.
