I wanted to keep the roughed up look fo the chair.  Honestly, I've had it draped with a canvas drop cloth for months because I loved the way it's chipped paint looked peeking out.  But it was time to take this puppy to the vet.  This recover was super easy (lazily done) with hot glue and an industrial staple gun.  The only extra effor was to stencil on a locale and some dates that are meaningful to us.  To keep the paint from flaking I sprayed it with scotch guard.  It seemed to me that if the stuff was meant to seal off stains, it would also work to seal in quirky design trials.  It worked smashingly.
