Living Room Redo (Elementary School Vibe)

Start with some pull-down world maps from 1961.
In Progress...

Above is the new couch, sturdy microfiber Room and Board. It can handle the kids and lets me act like a cool mom.
New Grey wall ( thank you, Katie)

I love the patina on that ladder. I was tempted to leave it out as decor, but Scout is a climber.
 trunk for table

Over the piano: Twin set of mirrors. Disco ball ornaments. Old urns. Clear glass.

Trial and Errors:

Below are the Before pictures.  Sort of reminds you of a stuffy grandma's house, hunh? Hard to be a fun good-times mommy when you have a white canvas couch. (Oh, and I love that couch, don't get me wrong-- it's that extreme love that made it hard to ever be rambunctious in the front room.)

Hey, Picky Girl,
I love your stuff on here. I especially like the things you have written and the black and white cloth in the living room. The papier machete (that's for Katie)deer head--not so much. HA! Keep it up, sweetheart.

We have an old pull down map in our new dining room. It is fantastic! I gave the kidlets lasers that we get to use at the table. We get to learn and talk about states, and countries over dinner. I adore yours!
